Stan Heitz - President
Graduated from the University of Illinois with a BS degree in Agriculture, majoring in Animal Science. Following graduation, Stan operated a grain and livestock farm in central Illinois, producing corn and soybeans as cash crops and feed grains of hay and pasture for his purebred sheep and commercial cow/calf operation. Stan's expertise with livestock genetics resulted in National and International champions produced in his purebred sheep flock. Stan made his first export shipment in 1972 when he sold 300 registered Suffolk ewe lambs to a private buyer in Tulancingo, Hidalgo, Mexico. Experience gained from exporting his own sheep to Canada, Mexico, Hungry, Brazil, Peru and the Caribbean lead Stan to a career in the livestock exporting business. During the past 12 years, Stan has traveled and conducted business in more than 40 countries. He has provided professional consultation in the U.S. and countries abroad in all areas of livestock production with a primary focus on genetics and reproduction.
Stan is experienced in all aspects of exporting livestock, including negotiating international sales contracts, structuring methods of international payment, compliance with international animal health protocol, international shipments by land, sea and air and all required export documentation. Stan has provided professional consultation for companies interested in both importing and exporting. In addition to being a guest lecturer for Illinois State University's School of Business and the Illinois Agriculture Leadership Foundation, Stan was recently appointed to the Governor's Agricultural Export Advisory Committee. Stan understands the importance of providing professional service on a personal basis
